Primacia constitucional e incompatibilidad normativa

Review and scope. Article 10 of the Civil Code is part of the Preliminary Title, section "On the Law," and sets out the effects of law in the legal system, including constitutional primacy and the rule that in case of conflict between the Constitution and a statute or other legal norm, constitutional provisions prevail. This rule is essential for constitutional review (concentrated and diffuse) and for applying civil law in accordance with the Constitution.
